Viridian City Gym
You will find a big building on this city. This building is the "custom battle camp". In HG/SS you will find a trainer that has a Chikorita, Feraligator, and Typhlosion all at Lv. 50. You don´t win any Experience or money but you can train your team to find ways of using your attacks better.
Gym Leader Blue/Green
When you first arrive in Viridian, the Gym Leader is missing. After you defeat Blaine on the Seaform islands, go to Cinnabar Island and the Gym Leader will be there. Talk to him and he will return to the gym to wait for you. This Gym doesn't have a specific Type specialty, and is led by Green (Blue in the English version).

Important Note: You don't rematch the Gym Leader at their respective gyms, but instead in the Fighting Dojo in Saffron City of the Kanto Region.
You must first meet the Gym Leader outside of their Gym (which is in a set place at set times), where you obtain their phone number. You can then phone them for a rebattle at certain times, and they will be waiting in the Fighting Dojo.
