Seafoam Island
Here you can find some Pokemon that are not catchable anywhere else like Seel and Dewgong.
Seafoam Island Gym
Gym Leader Blaine
- Magcargo - Lv. 54 (Fire/Rock), 1782 Exp
- Magmar - Lv. 54 (Fire), 1932 Exp
- Rapidash - Lv. 59 (Fire), 2427 Exp
Prizes: 12600 yen, Volcano Badge, TM50 (Overheat)
Strategy: This is a tricky gym. And it all is on Speed. And all of them have a White Herb, so all of them can use overheat without losing the Special Attack for one time. So, they all are fire pokemons... but magcargo has rock slide that can hurt badly lugia or gyarados. So you need to be faster than him and hit it with a hydro pump (surf won´t kill it unless a critical hit or your pokemon is around level 50). Then it comes the "secret weapon" Magmar. Don't use a Water Pokemon against him unless they are faster than his Pokemon or you will be kill with Thunderpunch (and he doesn´t use sunny day if your pokemon is a water or flying type). So use a Rock/Ground pokemon like dugtrio or Graveler/Golem that knows Rock Slide or Rollout. (take care if you need a fire type move against magmar... the second time you try it, Blaine will change Magmar to Rapidash and Rapidash will absorb your fire attack and drastically raises his fire type moves). And then it comes Rapidash. It´s hard to be faster than Rapidash. And don´t use a rock/ground type against it. It has Brine. So use a water type that can withstand at least a Flare Blitz or a Overheat (remember the White Herb?). Sometimes he uses Brine to try to Paralyze you.

- Torkoal - Lv. 54 (Fire), 1863 Exp

Important Note: You don't rematch the Gym Leader at their respective gyms, but instead in the Fighting Dojo in Saffron City of the Kanto Region.
You must first meet the Gym Leader outside of their Gym (which is in a set place at set times), where you obtain their phone number. You can then phone them for a rebattle at certain times, and they will be waiting in the Fighting Dojo.
Articuno
Once you have all 16 badges head over to Seafoam Islands and as you head deeper and deeper into the islands you'll eventually see Articuno, go up to it and press A it will attack and it will be at Lv. 60.
