Walkthrough
This route is a very windy mountain road that connects Blackthorn City down back to New Bark Town.
Soon after entering the route, you can go left to Dark Cave.
Route 45 is closer to Blackthorn, trainers you meet here will be in the mid-high 20's and are good for EXP, especially before fighting Clair.
Route 46 is nearer to New Bark Town; trainers here are weaker and in the teens. They are not as good for EXP but can still be battled.
After returning to New Bark Town, you will have to fly back to Ecruteak City and battle all five Kimono Girls.
- On HeartGold, you will have to ascend the Tin Tower and awaken Ho-oh before you can proceed.
- On SoulSilver, you will have to go to the Whirl Islands and awaken Lugia before you can proceed.
Once you have defeated / awakened / captured the legendary, proceed eastward from New Bark Town onto Routes 26 & 27.
